Saint-Julien d'Arpaon is also known for its magnificent ruins of a 12th century castle that has been abandoned since the French
revolution: from up high, the ruins of the ancient castle of the squire of Gabriac overlook the waters of the Mimente and the scenic highway between Florac and Alès.
